Turkic Silk Road at the HUNGEXPO
The Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Budapest participated in the 47th Travel+Exhibition at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center between February 20–23, 2025. The is the largest fair in tourism in Hungary that this year also included the Budapest Boat Show, the Caravan Salon and the E-Bike Test&Show. 250 exhibitors from 35 countries took part in the event.
The Representation Office of the OTS was present at the event with a pavilion of 50 square meters. The stall decorated with the photos and videos of the member states of the OTS was a great success among the visitors. The main goal of the Representation Office was the promotion of the Turkic Silk Road Project of the Organization. Those interested were able to receive briefings from Hungarian and English language brochures and videos. The staff of the Office was also offering information about this touristic initiative, and the website was also very helpful. (www.turkicsilkroad.com)
The Embassies of the member states of the OTS (Azerbaijan, Kazakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan were all represented at the event, and were all given the opportunity to present their potential in tourism.
The music and dance show of Uzbekistan was a great success among the visitors who were also offered briefings on the opportunities in tourism in Azerbaijan, Kazakistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Türkiye in the framework of lectures from the stage.
At the pavilion of the Representation Office it was the Embassy of Kazakistan in Budapest that was promoting its country with folk costumes and national dishes. The Ambassador of Kazakistan, His Excellency Abzal Saparbekuly gave an interview to the press.
