OTS training and know-how sharing program on agriculture was conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary

The online training and know-how sharing program on agriculture was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary for the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on 30 April 2024.

The program was opened by the welcoming remarks addressed of Ms. Lilla Egri Head of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary.

More than 30 experts from the Ministries of Agriculture and relevant institutions in charge of the agriculture participated in the online training program.

Afterwards, the following presentations were given by:

  1. Dr. Emese Szabó, Director of Systems Development of KITE Company on “Smart agriculture and irrigation systems and rehabilitation of infertile land;
  2. Mr. Richárd Vattay, CEO of Water and Soil Company on “Water retainer – an organic soil-conditioning product;
  3. András Sándorfy, Executive Director of Elitmag Ltd., Marton Genetics on “Seed breeding (especially climate friendly seeds) and smart farming systems”.

The participants exchanged views on deepening cooperation in the exchange of experience and modern agricultural technologies and techniques, water efficiency and smart agriculture, which will contribute to the sustainable development of the OTS region by promoting agricultural resource efficiency and maximizing agricultural productivity.

The program was followed by a Q&A session and discussions on the abovementioned topics.
